Maya is Bennett Gastle’s newest Articling Student. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Law from China in 2009, then a Masters Degree in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2010, and most recently, she was granted a Juris Doctor degree from University of Ottawa in 2017. Prior to her article with Bennett Gastle, Maya worked as an administrative assistant, litigation law clerk and summer student with Bennett Gastle.
Maya is a very hard working and enthusiastic individual who has an eye for detail. In addition to her success with her studies and at work, Maya has also volunteered her time to help with CLEW (Cambodian Legal Education for Women). Her efforts with CLEW have demonstrated her desire and commitment to help poverty stricken students in Cambodia to go on and further their education and to escape the harsh realities of their world.
Maya is fluent in English and Mandarin. In her spare time, Maya likes to travel, practice yoga, and play piano.
