 Crystal is a Litigation Law Clerk at Bennett Gastle providing ongoing assistance in all aspects of the litigation process. Crystal has extensive knowledge of Bennett Gastle’s computer database. She also brings her creativity to the firm, including the design of the firm logo and other products. She is an organizer of social events, such as the welcoming of foreign law students to Canada as part of Bennett Gastle’s International Student Program.
Crystal completed a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree at The University of Toronto, in 2005, majoring in Sociology, with a double minor in Geography and Psychology. Upon graduation, Crystal obtained her Litigation Law Clerk certification with honours from The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. Crystal has experience as a research assistant, including work and recognition on the publication: “Canada-Brazil Trade Relations: an expedited arbitral mechanism may be required to resolve the WTO Aircraft from Brazil/Canada Dispute” by Professor Joseph D’Cruz and Dr. Charles M. Gastle in February of 2002.
Crystal is actively involved in a number of volunteer organizations, such as Grandview’s Children Centre, in which she participates in a social/recreational drop-in centre assisting Social Workers in dealing with young adults with cognitive and physical disabilities. Crystal is also a volunteer for the Town of Ajax and for the Durham Preschool Speech and Language Program (DPSLP) which is a community based program focusing on early identification of special speech needs, early intervention, education, public awareness and prevention.
