Elizabeth Bennett-Martin — Lawyer
Graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with a
Bachelor of Laws in 1992, called to the Bar of Ontario in 1994, and
awarded her Master of Laws degree in Civil Litigation and Alternative
Dispute Resolution in 1998. In 2003 she was appointed by Order in
Council to the License Appeal Tribunal (LAT). In 2006 she was appointed
to the position of Vice-Chair of LAT. In June 2005, she left her position as a partner
with a full-service law firm in Toronto to co-found Bennett Gastle
Professional Corporation. Principal areas of practice include insurance
defence litigation, commercial and civil litigation. Insurance defence
experience includes disability and life claims; creditor claims;
property claims; coverage issues; personal injury and professional

Katherin Creighton Taylor — Litigation Law Clerk
Katherin is a Litigation Law Clerk at Bennett Gastle. Currently, she
assists counsel in a multitude of tasks associated with the litigation
process, as well as International Law files. She also has extensive
experience in accounting and provides ongoing support to Bennett Gastle
in this regard. Katherin attended York University, graduating with a Bachelor of
Arts, Honours Degree in 2005. Upon graduation, Katherin obtained her
Litigation Law Clerk certification from the Institute of Law Clerks of

Charles Gastle — Lawyer
Chuck obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen’s University in 1979. He obtained his Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Toronto in 1985, and was called to the Bar in 1987. While practising on a full-time basis, Chuck received his Masters of Law Degree in 1994 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree in International Trade and Competition Law in 1998 from Osgoode Hall Law School. He has been an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School since 2002, and in November 2005, was appointed as an Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at York University. He is also an Associate of the Estey Centre for Law and Economics in International Trade. |
